LMS Integration
The chatbots can be easily embed in the LMS, so students can use them directly from learning platform, without the need for leaving their learning space. Chatbots are integrated much like any other tool (e.g., padlet, miroboard).
Detailed analytics
Chatmate shows teachers how and when students use GenAI without compromising privacy. It summarizes interactions to highlight GenAI’s impact on learning, which tools like ChatGPT or Copilot don’t offer. This helps educators better understand student engagement and its effect on teaching.
Support for different AI engines
Chatmate supports OpenAI family of models (GPT 3.5, GPT 4, GPT 4.1) as well as other popular Large Language Models (LLMs), such as Claude, Mistral and DeepSeek. These LLMs are hosted within C3L’s Amazon cloud space, keeping student data safe.
File attachments
Chatmate supports attachments so that teachers can easily create custom prompt, using their teaching materials. For example, it takes few clicks to make a feedback chatbot that provides students with assignment feedback based on the assignment description and grading rubric.
Streamlined account creation
Students can easily open up Chatmate accounts following the link from their LMS, or all student accounts can be created by the admin team. Either way, students will be provided with only access to the appropriate chatbots, limiting the misuse of GenAI.
Safe data storage
Chatmate data is fully stored at Amazon Australia cloud servers. Chatmate collects a minimal amount of personal data which mainly includes history of interactions with GenAI. Depending on the chosen AI engine, data is either being sent to AI provider or everything is done internally within Amazon cloud space. That way, there is no possibility of student data being used for training future AI models.
